Here at RGU Art and Heritage we hold a variety of objects relating to staff, students and the teaching practice in the University. In the past the University Library held a large collection of 35mm slides covering the subject areas of Art and Architecture. The slide collection was used as a teaching resource and as well as covering architects such as Mies van der Rohe, staff also collected urban imagery.
As the years pass everything changes, including the way in which we record and store images. Everything around us is changing, collected objects and images instantly becomes part of our story. So lets take a trip back in time on the streets of Aberdeen with our slide projector. A fine old Landrover parked in the background but where was this fine purveyor of haddock and chips?
