Wheels in Motion

An exhibition featuring a sculpture by George Gillies, a former student of Gray’s School of Art is currently on display at Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life in Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire.

The exhibition ‘The Perfect Machine’ has been on show since 5 July  and ends 14 September 2014

In 2007 George Gillies received an RGU Sculpture Purchase Award for his work which was inspired by his research into the effect of isolation and his interest in outdated technology.

We are very pleased to see George’s award winning work included in this cycling themed exhibition which has been developed at the Museum of Scottish Industrial Life to celebrate the Commonwealth Games coming to Scotland this year.
